Skate Club Weekly Update Monday Oct 5/09

What an awesome time at Skate Club this week! Good skateboarding, good friends, with our great God sharing His desire for relationship with the skaters of Mission. A good portion of the Mission skate scene has come out for the past two weeks; that's approximately 25-30 people. They are already displaying personal ownership of the club by setting up and taking down ramps, general clean-up, and having genuine interest in the messages. I could hear a pin drop as I shared the blessings of hanging out with Jesus on a regular basis just like his disciples did.

We are also starting the Core Group gathering this week on Thursday Oct. 8 at one of the skaters homes. There will be seven attending. Skate Club is the foot in door while the Core Group is a seat at the banquet table; a time for friendship and feasting on God's promises. God is doing great things in the skate scene this year!! Stoked!!
